    Insignia

    Insignia Kitchen and Bath already had a website but it had been designed in Flash so much of it was unreadable by search engines. Additionally, anyone using an iPad and iPhone could not see their website at all. Smartly, Insignia decided to redesign their website to make it available for all users no matter what technology they were using. In doing this, we also restructured their site so that their content would be more accessible for search engines and they could take advantage of organic search traffic.

    Pour Wines

    Pour is a wine shop in the Manhattan area that had gained a small following for their great service and their excellent wine and food pairing knowledge.  In an effort to offer something special on their website, we helped them bring that wine and food pairing expertise online with a Flash tool that eventually was chosen for the Adobe Showcase and Cool Site of the Day.

    Santa's Holiday Giveaway

    Family Video has over 700 stores and has been working to create a stronger online presence and build traffic.  To drive more customers to their site during the busy holiday season we created an online holiday game for customers, giving them a chance to win a prize each day.  The holiday website averaged about 3,000 visits/day and was written up in blogs, about.com and also highlighted as Cool Site of the Day.

I think I need Flash functionality...

We love Flash. It's a great tool, extremely flexible and fun to work with. However, with the advent of iPads and the importance of SEO, we will often try to find alternatives to Flash to ensure that our clients' sites are wholly visible on Apple devices and easily searchable by the search engines.  However, there are instances where Flash is still a great answer.  We have built Flash interactive pieces of all types from websites to teaching tools to contests and games.   Some questions to consider are:

  1. Is this going to be a Flash website? Advertising? Contest?
  2. Does it matter to me if my Flash piece is not viewable on Apple devices like the iPad or iPhone?
  3. What advantages am I hoping to gain by using Flash?
    Motion, cool factor, interactivity? Could this be accomplished in some other way? We have many alternative technologies that we can talk to you about depending on what your goals are.
